Metal plate with a butterfly cutout – a technique that transforms into art

An artist came to us with a creative and unusual idea - to make a metal plate with a precise butterfly-shaped cutout. After evaluating the materials and technical possibilities, we arrived at the optimal solution: a 4 mm hot-rolled steel plate 400×400 mm.

We cut out the butterfly outline with high-precision laser cutting, ensuring clean edges and a perfect shape. Then we lightly polished the plate and prepared it for handover to the artist for further processing.

The idea and symbolism of the artwork

The work created by the artist tells the story of a hardened person who finds love again. The butterfly cut out from the steel plate symbolizes love, change, and rebirth. The hollow shape of the butterfly is filled with a soft fur, creating a warm, fragile, and beautiful contrast against the hard metal. At the same time, the work also carries traces of experienced loss, which makes the composition emotionally deeper.
