Steel structure for concrete pouring – custom-made with HARDOX wear resistance

The MelnaisMetфls.LV team recently completed an order where we made a concrete feed hopper - a structure designed for pouring concrete and handling heavy loads at a construction site.

This funnel was designed to ensure a steady flow of concrete, resistance to abrasive materials, and a long service life.

How the construction was made:

• all parts precisely laser-cut,

• bent in the necessary places to get the correct shape and flow geometry,

• the structure is welded into a single, rigid body,

• The inner part is lined with HARDOX wear-resistant steel, which significantly increases its durability.

Choosing HARDOX here is critical - concrete with gravel will flow through the hopper, causing intense wear over time. With a wear-resistant material, the hopper keeps its shape, strength, and safe use for much longer.
